Share your intended resolutions or whatever I don't care, I'm not your mum

I've started early to try changing some of my habits, including:

- First and foremost, avoiding speaking too much about myself in conversations (I'll often add to a discussion by talking about my experiences regarding the subject, i.e. "oh yeah, last time I talked to her she said that", "of course, I did the same thing last year", "I've always thought that was a seedy place", etc.) and make them more about those I'm speaking to.

- Reading more books

- Flossing regularly

- Not always drinking when I go out

I don't really formally resolve to do these things, but with determination I'll:

-read more books
-learn at least hiragana and katakana within the next two months
-get laid at least once lest my virginity grow back like some sort of horrible fungus
-do more of stuff I'm doing generally

I don't have resolutions, only goals which I would be pursuing even if it wasn't the end of the year

1. Resume and finish driving lessons
2. Finish sorting out music I've recorded, release it and become a global megastar (I might manage to finish the sorting by the end of the year but the global stardom will inevitably take longer)
3. Resume writing thing when music is finished
4. Get laid, somehow
5. Get money, somehow
6. Become world leader, somehow
I have nothing important to say

- workout / lift even more regularly, along with better diet planning
- learn to cook even more food, at least more healthy foods
- do more cardio, ride my bike at least 3 times a week, and get back into downhill longboarding
- smoke less herb, do less drugs, drink less.
- play less videogames in my free time, and try to read more books.
- floss more regularly, along with enhancing my looks a bit more, buy new clothes
- hangout with more of my friends, go out more in general, get laid more often, etc
- create more music, work on my 3rd album, learn more and get better at piano
- start a side-buisness of some kind, make more supplemental income. (probably the hardest goal i can imagine right now)

I don't really have resolutions, just stuff I plan to do:
- Start writing some more music again
- Related: actually make a serious effort at learning to properly play the keyboard and/or the mouth organ that are both gathering dust, preferably both
- Travel solo for a few weeks, potentially by bike
- Try to work my way into some new functions/responsibilities at work (I have high hopes) or potentially move on to somewhere else if I'm not satisfied with how it's going

I made most of my goals last year.

Got a car, getting a pay rise in January, got fitter and saw Brand New which were all fulfilling experiences for me.

Didn't quite cute down on meat as much as I wanted though. Gonna try cutting down on red meat a lot more.

concrete:
-get a Real Adult job & move outta my childhood bedroom

wishy-washy vagaries:
-try to be healthier (eat better, exercise more)
-read read read write write write
-hopefully travel a bit over the summer, assuming I have a job lined up
-at least make an effort to meet people/date/find love/get laid, lest I accidentally end up GMOW

Also get back on drawing comics and maybe get another series going. It's been a while.

Cool! Ya I've been making comics since I was 4. I've lost a lot of motivation these last few years though and recently my focus shifted from drawing to making music. I only did one comic this year...it was just pencils. I like to do silly things, grounded stories with absurdities in the art. What kind of stuff do you do?

Oooh, interesting. You've had many years over me! Comics are a fun outlet for letting things out, in high school I made a 90 issue series about my friends and everyone around, something to put observations and funny stories into. Now most of which where two sheets of paper folded over but by grinding it out like that I developed my methods and shaped my creative voice. I still got a ways to go, it was only 3 years ago I learnt how important reference images are, when I was a kid I figured I'd be a cartoonist magically, then it was like...oh it doesn't work that way. What kind of freelance stuff did you do and was it every sustainable?

Eating healthier, get doing various chemistry-related things I've been planning on for a while.
With my tax rebate, get the required things to start doing something I've wanted to do for a while, essentially just processing raw materials (in this case, supplements, herbs etc) and selling them on, some would be put in to capsules, some i would produce tinctures and blends, etc, that sort of stuff.
Maybeee get some egg-white protein powder and try an get myself a bit of muscle, but I'm not too fussed about that one.
