I like a girl who is way too young for me. She's 18 and I'm 27.

We work together. Only around 3-10 hours a week but we talk to each other the entire time and we have gotten to know each other pretty well.

I feel horrible about this. She is barely an adult and barely legal. Yet I dread the day she goes away to college.

I feel horrible about this.
I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given.

oh just make out already! Jeez!

lol

and if she's actually a mature person mentally and personality wise, then i don't really see a big deal tbh
in many countries and cultures it's widely acceptable for women to get married before they even turn 18 ...

That means when you were younger she was even younger.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.

I forgot to mention she has a boyfriend.

He lives two hours away and they rarely see each other but still.
I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given.

If she's an adult and you're an adult, then why get so worked up about it?
Come back if you want to
And remember who you are
‘Cause there's nothing here for you my dear
And everything must pass

What if her boyfriend is younger than she is?

FKING LOL
do you really want to be "that guy" who tries to steal another man's girl?
and how do you know this information? if she told you that, then it's hard to say if she shares the same interest in you ...

What's the big deal with college?

Are you going to pretend to be her daddy to see her off at the gates of college on her first day?

So what? This happens all the time. I know a girl my age (29) who is dating a 40 year old lawyer. She is with him because he has money. He is with her so he can smash her, control her & manipulate her with no strings attached. Bottom line is, younger women like that are just as manipulative and psychopathic as the older male that is using them to smash it. They want $$$$$$/security, never have to work again, we want young pussy & control.

It's wrong to get into any type of friendship outside of work with her.

Her college is an hour or two away. So when she goes to college I'll never see her again.
I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given.

Then what's the problem?

She has a boyfriend, she's going to college away from you. If there was ever a sign that maybe you should not pursue her, I would say they're all there.

Why is that wrong? Negative vibes coarse through my veins as I read this. She is 19. You are 27. So what?

No I message any girl but get very few messeages back.

I'm sure she would keep in touch with me once she is in college and as much as I would want that I know it's wrong.

But not seeing her again just makes me feel awful.
I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given.

you should never get strung up over a chick you never had a real shot of being with anyways.

I feel like you're creating mountains out of a mole hill here.

You say she's too young for you, she's going to college, she already has a boyfriend....I don't see anything good coming of this, unless she purely wants a platonic friendship.

But instead I'm like "WHY oh WHY can't she be an option.

So I see a therapist once every couple of months but I'm embarrassed to talk to him about this.

This seems like a pity thing to make an appointment for but this has been bothering me for months. What do you guys think?

you are seriously wasting your time and money if you're not completely transparent with your therapist.

and it's kinda funny that you're less embarrassed asking a bunch of dorks on a guitar forum...

You have no reason to be nervous, our minds work in mysterious ways sometimes, so your therapist will be there to help you unravel the mess and give you some strategies to cope and move forward.
