So the guys here at UG suggested me to upgrade my amp which is a Roland Cube 20gx. Though my current amp is pretty good for all the styles except metal, the pinch harmonics, the legatos seems too weak.
I am looking forward to buy a Peavey Vypyr 30 for playing metal as suggested by a buddy of mine.
Will the Vypyr be better than the Cube especially for metal?
Any other amp suggestion in the Vypyr's price range is also appreciated.

It wouldn't really be an upgrade.

More of a sidegrade IMO.

For the price, the Vypyr is a great amp and has a bigger range of amps and effects. That said, I agree with Fisheth24 in that it's on the same general level. If you were buying and choosing between the two, that's another story. Right now, if you want a better amp, keep what you have and save up.
