I'm so sick of every metal band having the same bs screamed vocals (just super bored of it right now)

Can anyone recommend any bands that have actual singers but still maintain a heavy sound

I'm thinking bands that sound like this

cheers

You call that metal?

  • is metal
  • isn't some pussy ass shit like what you linked
  • comes from a stoner/psych influenced background
  • clean vocals
  • the bass is thicker than a UKIP voter

this band is like Tears for Fears meets Meshuggha
with totally heavy bass boosted, drop tuned guitars and dreamy, clean vocals
such an amazing album

^ I've just realised if you say Simple Plan's 2011 effort "Get Your Heart On!" really fast in a Southern American accent, it sounds gross. . .like sexual gross!

Hello.
I'm looking for professional bongo-ists and triangle-ists to make a Progressive Technical Brutal Death Metal band
(will be called AxOxJxLxAxIxVxXxUxWxZxQxUxRxWxGxJxSxAxLxKxMxNxHxUxGxAxAxWxVxCxBxZxVx)
(Don't even ask what it means)

Joey Belladonna has a good voice.

A few bands come to mind, I don't know if they are the kind of thing exactly.

Fear Factory, Korn, In Flames, Dream Theater, Lacuna Coil. Melodic Death Metal and Symphonic Metal in general.

On the come up we were listening to Grateful Dead and the music started passing through my bowel and out my arsehole as this violet stream of light. I shat music. It was beautiful.

"bass thicker than a UKIP voter" is the best thing I've ever read

I posted this in another thread so it is already on my clipboard.

You might not think it sounds heavy but the bandleader beat his wife to death with a frying pan and almost got the death penalty by gas chamber. Instead of got life in prison but they let him out to play shows all the time.
