Hi there! I'm looking for a blank piece of wood to make my first guitar body and I'm having trouble sourcing it. I need something that's about 1.75 in thick and just big enough for the design I'm making but I've called a few places around where I live (Vancouver, Canada) and they don't seem to have anything big enough. I've heard things about having to laminate but I would prefer to purchase one solid piece just for the sake of complexity. I saw stewmac sells them for a pretty penny (Same with other dealers too) and I just don't want to have to overspend as well because of the budget of my electronics.
Does anyone know where I may be able to buy some tonewood for a decent price online or whatnot? I'm a bit desperate
Thanks in advance!
Who needs shred when you've got rhythm guitar? :^)
