Clouds crash the horizon, a distant growl of thunder creeps
Churning the once still waters into towering white capped peaks
A cold breeze comes creeping in that chills to the soul
An unrelenting tempest breaking waves against the hull

If you ever loved me you won't let me sink like this
Lungs fill with water as I fall into the abyss
If you ever loved me, you would reach for me and then
Pull me from the sea and let me stand
By your side once again

A deep darkness fills the sky casting shade on once bright eyes
a distant horizon long forgot, where emptiness now resides
under crushing weight of water, the bow begins to break
The ship is now forsaken and surrenders to its fate

If you ever loved me you won't let me sink like this
Lungs fill with water as I fall into the abyss
If you ever loved me, you would reach for me and then
Pull me from the sea and let me stand
By your side once again

Great gothic sea song. I'm feeling a strong 6/8 - dactyl feet. And the pause created by the line break just before "by your side once again" is perfect.

Thanks for the input. The "if you ever loved me" section was meant to be the chorus. I am working on the music for it now, but it's a slow process since my music comprehension isn't great haha. I am also not sure if I want to add a bridge. Right now I am thinking no, but maybe?
