I bought one of these for 100 bucks and I plan to invest in it a bit. It's got a blown speaker. It's speakers are stock scorpions. Should I just buy another scorpion to replace it or would putting some vintage 30s in there make it sound loads better? Money isn't a big issue.
I'll admit it, I'm a newbie. 7 months experience. I've got an Ibanez GRG 170DX. My amp is kind of weird... it's a 65 Watt Kustom KMA65. Yeah. I only have a Boss DS-1 with Keeleys Ultra Mod. Just looking for tips and answers to my many stupid questions! ?

What kinda tone you aiming to get?

Not that Peavey Scorpion speakers are terrible, but, if you have to replace a speaker, you may as well play the field a bit. Celestion, WGS, Eminence, and some other options available out there.
