Most likely searching yahoo for online games and music, and using google to set up AOL, probably circa '99.

I was like 6 and dad and I went on the internet together and we played online flash games with my favourite Lego characters

I miss being a little kid sometimes

Flash games, in their infancy.

Also blizzard games (Starcraft, and Diablo 1)

I was playing the shit out of diablo at like 4 or 5.

Also, gaining encyclopedic knowledge about sharks was developing around the same time
Legato and fluidity in your playing is where it's at

My first Internet memory is being on the Bionicle site in 2001, watching those old animations, they were so cool. Then there was that point and click game to.

So. Much. This. Not sure if they had much internet presence as they were earlier, but remember Slizers too?

I honestly (honestly) didn't even know you could get free porn on the internet when we first got it. My earliest memory of using the internet is looking for video game cheats on cheatplanet.com (no longer exists ) or talking to my friends after school on MSN Messenger.

Ha ha, ya man. I could write a whole paper on all my memories and stuff attached to the line. It was honestly the best kids franchise of it's era. The sets were easier to build then other Lego and they were like badass robot figures. The story was cool as well, with the comics, novels and stuff, it was easy to follow. Good times. Funny that's it became nostalgia now.

I loved the old Bionicle flash games. You can still play them here. http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/games/

There was some lego game I used to play as well where you run around a studio or something and play as the lego indiana jones rip offf, Johnny something I think he's called.

I think my oldest internet memory is using some Simpsons forum
I have nothing important to say

On the internet, no idea. Probably Diablo 1 multiplayer, downloading music with Napster, or Neopets or something idk.

On my computer, probably some of those Humongous Entertainment games. Pajama Sam, Putt Putt, Freddi Fish, Backyard Sports, etc.
Also the early Jumpstart games. My fav was always the 3rd grade one where you play as a little robot guy and there's the evil scientist girl.

Looking up Spider-Man sequels (very few reliable sites for that), downloading flash games, and maybe sending emails. It's strange how little I remember of that time.
#16
Playing Flight Simulator cause my dad had it and it looked awesome.

The first things I did on my own though was probably make a Neopets account or play Wormhole (or some other name, I totally forget. It was a top down, vector shooter almost like asteroids but entirely PVP and done in flash IIRC) on our school's LAN.

Nah it was all about leading noobs to the wilderness and then wrecking their day with d-claws.

Trying to set up AOL with one of those disks they sent, connecting to some server in the next city, waiting an hour while nothing happened, then getting a $70 long distance bill for it.

But at one point there was no wilderness.

When the game initially launched, there was such a PKing presence that Jagex literally made the wilderness in response to:

" I can't play your fucking game I just get raped all the time"
"There needs to be PVP organization"

Because everything used to get dropped upon death, now it's like everything but the 3 most valuable items on your person or something.

My dad and I stopped play RS because the community was like modern america

Then the normal Neopets/Runescape/Newgrounds shit a few years later when i got my own computer.

Went through a regrettable hentai flash game phase when I was 14.

Research projects for elementary school. I'll forget it (parents won't let me), but for one project I researched the jackalope. I used hoaxes.com (or somthing similar) as my source. In the project itself, I listed that another name for the jackalope was "the horny bunny."

Yahooligans in 1997. My parents took a picture of me using a computer for the very first time so the Yahooligans logo is visible. I remember emailing my grandpa then but he didn't reply for like a year because he didn't know how to start the computer so I eventually wrote a page of step-by-step instructions.
