Good evening everyone,

I'm in the market for a solid compressor pedal as I'm new to the compressor game, and have narrowed it down to two: the Xotic SP Compressor and the Seymour Duncan Vise Grip. Both have very positive reviews, so I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

I was in a similar boat to you a few months ago, they both look very solid. I'd say the vice grip may be slightly better suited for a rock/metal player (judging that I know Tosin, Misha, and the intervals guys all used them/did vids with them when it came out).

I'll throw in the Keeley C4 and the Wampler Ego (which they now do a mini version of too) into the ring - should be around the same price as the xotic and vice grip

I was thinking the Vise Grip for the reason that it seems to more suited towards more high gain players, but can be used to country if the player really wanted to.

I'll have to check out the C4 and the Wampler more, as I have heard those names tossed around and are in the same price range. Thanks man!
