I'm glad I don't have a guitar that will give me scoliosis
Come back if you want to
And remember who you are

I would feel shit for owning a Les Paul because I only like one guitarist that regularly played a Les Paul and that was the man himself - Bob Marley Les Paul

So no thanks, I'll stick the Les Paul's sexier, slimmer sister, the SG

it's weird how posting a guitar thread in the pit it ends up reading like a thread from the electric guitar section 10 years ago

You are now using UG Black.
You are now using UG Classic.

I don't own one, I wouldn't be opposed to owning one, I just don't, I used to have a Harmony Les Paul copy back in the 80's it was the second guitar I ever owned and I really liked it. I sold it to finance another guitar.

They do license some factories in Japan to make guitars in association with them, under the Orville and the Epiphone Elitist brands. But FGN, like all the other Japanese brands that make LP's, have no affiliation with Gibson at all.

how much did it cost? is it good?

It cost about £1400. For a guitar of this caliber, that's absolute theft.

I was considering getting a Gibson LP Traditional before I bought this and after playing 4 of them in a store, all of them were absolutely crap. Binding bleed around the fretboard extension, poor quality rosewood fretboards, quality of the flamed caps was mediocre, one even had a 3 piece back with no attempt made to bookmatch the back to make it look nice. Cheap plastic nuts were not cut properly, causing tuning stability issues and excessively high nut action. One had a couple of buzzing frets too.

Pretty typical BS from Gibson today, unfortunately.

Bought this FGN online and the first one I received was absolute perfection everywhere. Imagine Ibanez' J-custom line making a Les Paul clone. It makes sense because this guitar was built in the same facility that makes the Ibanez J-Custom guitars.

Like I said; totally ruined my life. Cannot stop playing it.
