This is probably a dumb question, but:

Why does my Phase 90 pedal work even when it's not plugged into the power source through the DC 9 volt input?
As soon as I plug my guitar into the instrument input, the pedal switches on and works perfectly (with no power source at all).
I'm not much of a 'gear head' so I apologize if this is a very simple question, I just find it unusual since I need to power all my other pedals.
I have tried searching the web for answers -but there was nothing.

Thanks.

monwobobbo Ah okay, thanks. Was assuming there was no battery in the pedal because there's no lift-up panel for it on the bottom. Do I need to unscrew the back to get to the battery?
