Hey peeps,

I was lucky enough to score a barely used, USA-made Peavey Bandit today. It's the famous "Red-Stripe" version (with blocky logo). I could not be more happy with it!

However, the Peavey footswitch feels cheap and flimsy - enough to scare me away from using it while gigging. Instead, I'm hoping I can build my own tank of a footswitch. I don't use effects, so I don't need an FX bypass swtich. I'm hoping theres a way to wire it so it's just a channel switcher. Would greendunn's nifty altoid box design work for me? If not, is there a schematic I can follow?

Greendunn's design:

The design I have in mind (which looks about as indestructible as the amp I'll be using it with ):

And another here showing a schematic:

Just hook up the ring and sleeve connections if you just want a channel switcher.
