Hey all! I'm looking for a punk/grunge sound, and I narrowed down my guitar choices to a Mustang or a humbucker Duo-Sonic. Which would be better?

And well yes, I'll enjoy the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, because trying to get one is clearly smarter than any word you have spoken thus far.

Oops. I got it into my head that you were referring to amps. The names of some Fender guitars can be a bit misleading. My mistake

Can someone ping this back to EG please?

I would recommend the Duo-sonic HS just because it's what I would associate more with a grunge tone due to how the humbucker is and the ability to coil tap will be great for versatility

If you're looking at the Duo Sonic HS, you might also want to consider the G&L Fallout.*  Instead of a singlecoil in the neck, it sports a P90.

I haven't tried either but i'd have thought the one with the humbucker might be more useful for grunge.

though the p90 mustang might be worth a look, too.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
