Ok guys,

I've just bought a new German Original Floyd Rose to install in a Charvel San Dimas.

The main question i have is the Floyd pivots.

I've got the new posts in the body and I've added the pivot screws, my question is shoud the pivot screws move back and forward slightly when i unscrew them to make the bridge higher?

Is this just the way it is until the strings are brought up to tension ?

Thanks Ian

^ I'm not sure actually. I have a vague recollection that they might not be all that tight until string tension is correct, but I could be wrong.

I guess email Floyd Rose to be sure?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
