In the second solo for Space Oddity by David Bowie

E|----------------------------------3--3--0-------|

I'm having trouble finding what scale is being used. I almost want to say it is the pentatonics minor with some chromatic notes

thrown in but it seems too consistent for that. I'm thinking it's either melodic or harmonic minor but I can't really tell.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have never used Tab so this is the first time I have looked at one, but just looking I can tell immediately the tab you show is not the second solo... you are showing the first solo, and the solos are not using notes from just one scale, they're using fragments of multiple scales.

The chords sound like...

Fmaj7/A
G6
A
C/G
D/A
E5

The scale fragments sound like they are coming from...

F Major
G Mixolydian
A Bebop Dominant
C Major
D Bebop Dominant
E Major

Hope this helps

I'm pretty sure the Bible requires that you play through a tube amp in Texas.
