I got a pickup from my dad, he wasn't sure what it was, but he was pretty sure it was Seymour Duncan.  It's got nothing on it except "JB J" on a sticker on the back.  Trying to figure out what this is, as I'm very interested to wire it into my Les Paul if it's a good pickup.

The best way to find out if it a good pickup is to try it and see.  Even if it is an SD JB, it doesn't mean that you will like it (I didn't), and there are some very good cheap pickups out there; Goldfoils were cheap and nasty until Ry Cooder told us they were wonderful.

The old ones don't have any logo or anything on the back besides that sticker.

good deal.  As for JBs, I love JB's just wanted to make sure that's what it was before I stuck it in a guitar! Thanks guys
