We've been throwing stones that are tied to our ankles
Into the water that's over our heads
Even though the tide's pulled us under
The prices we've paid stay the same
How can we ever hope to survive
The ship still sinks beneath our feet
Think for a moment, dream of an island
Just off the coast with no name

All it takes is everything we've never said to save ourselves
Until the end of everything
All we have is everything we've ever known about the world
Until the end of everything
Before we watch it wash away

Before you ascend to the surface, remember...
The bottom's not much farther down
It only takes once, if you're scared you don't have to
Just live with the mysteries below
When the silence bears all it's weight on your shoulders
Scream at the top of your lungs
If ever again you can't tell if you're breathing
Believe the wind will carry you home

All it takes is everything we've never said to save ourselves
Until the end of everything
All we have is everything we've ever known about the world
Until the end of everything
Before we watch it wash away

It's a great theme!  Love most of the first stanza!  I'd be careful not to beat a dead horse, though.  I'd pick out some of the parts with the best imagery and cut the ones that aren't as powerful.

I enjoyed the imagery in this one! Definitely going to agree with JustRooster though on the "beating a dead horse" thing, but you didn't push it too far. Second verse could do with some tightening up. I'm not entirely sure I understand what it's getting at.
