Hi
I have 3000€ budget and im looking best 6 string axe for metal that you can get on that price, including custom shops/artists.

Roc8995 okay so, the guitar would have to have pretty thin neck, but it would be nice if it has that nice thickness. Tone should be nice and dark, and the playability should have the thick feel. Mostly for rythm playing but the guitar must bend to a great solos too. Im ready to order from nearly everywhere. I live in Finland so here is only couple local custom shops and i ain't that excited about them... Im getting the evh 5150 50w soon as a amp.

Check out Mayones http://mayones.com/
Skervesen http://skervesen.eu/
Aristides http://aristidesinstruments.com/
Hufschmid https://www.hufschmidguitars.com/
Ibanez J-Craft/J Custom or Prestige http://www.ibanez.com/products/prestige.html

Personally, I'd go at least with a 7 string (26.5" or 27" scale) + a Bogner or Diezel amp.

Which Finnish builders do you know? Amfisound, Flaxwood & Ruokangas? If so, what is it about them that leaves you cold?

Some other European luthiers to look at:

Vigier (France)
Ran (Poland)
Crimson (England)

I'm blocking on the name of a European builder whose guitars had a rough-hewn appearance. Not reliced, but like the combination of modern electronics set in wood salvaged from Viking shipwrecks. If I can remember- and they're still in business-I'll post it.

actually i don't know that 3000 is enough after factoring in vat.

I'd take hufschmid off that list though...he's become increasingly eccentric.

j-custom is nice too if you already really like ibanez and just want the best ibanez you can possibly buy but...it's no mayo.

Hutchinson Guitar Concepts (USA) isn't the builder I had in mind, but he does make Norse themed axes, as well as other designs.

And well yes, I'll enjoy the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, because trying to get one is clearly smarter than any word you have spoken thus far.

Daemoness guitars would be a good option. Great inlay work.

Could be- I usually look at price last (or not at all) when helping others find something upscale & exotic.

That brand I was looking for...I don't think they're still around.

My only advise is to take it slow and find something you really like.
The best bet is to actually play the guitar, or at least play the same type as you are buying.

I live in one of the 10 biggest cities in the USA: high-end guitars generally aren't found in stores anywhere unless they're one of the big brands (Fender, Gibson, etc.), local or used. There are exceptional stores that specialize in high-end gear, but they're rare.
