So, theres this small little riff in Kashmir that Jimmy Page plays during live performances (the riff matches the orchestra) and he plays the riff in the middle of the opening riff after the first interlude. (I'm horribly sorry if I butchered that, I failed music theory) If you listen to the live performance you will know what I'm talking about. I love this song and I thought it would be really nice to be able to include this riff alongside the rest, but I cannot find it in any tabs. If anyone knows how to play this, please help. Thank you!

SirRapplez Hi and welcome to Forum! Help people to help you, provide a video of a live performance and specify the timestamp of the riff. It will be mush more clear.

I'm assuming you are talking about the part with the descending chords.

Remember to use the DADGAD tuning.

D|-12-12-10-10-7-7-5-5-3-3-------
A|-12-12-10-10-7-7-5-5-3-3-------
G|-12-11-10-9--7-6-5-4-3-2-------
D|-------------------------3-2-0-
A|-------------------------------
D|-------------------------------

It's basically about just moving the same shape around and harmonizing the descending D minor pentatonic scale with all major chords (with a sus4 played before each major chord).

Or are you talking about the short lick that he plays between the repeats of the riff?

D|-------------------------------
A|-------------------------------
G|-------------------------------
D|----------9--------------------
A|-12-11-12---12-11-12-9---------
D|-------------------------------

The descending part is played with an open string, voicings like
12-0-12 11-0-12 10-0-10 9-0-10
Edit, I think with the open D string as well.
But I think it's the other riff you have that he's after. I just looked and Jimmy Page plays it like this :
D|---------------------------------
A|---------------------------------
G|---------------------------------
D|---------------------------------
A|---12-11-12-14-12-11-12-9--------
D|---------------------------------
shifting position for the last note.

Thank you for the reply. It was the short lick I was referring to, sorry for the confusion!
