that reminds me of this one time i was hanging out with a friend and his veteran neighbor (who always shows up unannounced and nobody likes) came over. We were jamming Amerika by Rammstein and he starts going off about how awesome it is that Rammstein wrote a song about how great America is.

Actually, pretty cool song.

George Strait is da man, not a bad song in his catalog.
I got everything he ever put out.

He's a pretty good singer. I only have his greatest hits albums, This is probably his best, I think.

Ah...I totally misread the topic. Thought it was supposed to be songs about daddies. You meant music my daddy listens to. My dad is 87!

No sense in putting one of his shit songs in here. Here's one of his best. Awesome standup bass, great all around musicianship. Very jazzy. This is 30s-40s dance music. Plus a cute song, I guess, about a daddy's boy.

what will you be playing 25 years from now sonny? you do realize that some punk ass kid will be dissing the music you love.

I feel like many of you had drunk, abusive machinists for dads and are just taking it out on this thread.

The radio in my car reminded me that Bad Company's Feel Like Making Love is one actually bad classic rock song.

look I've been in a car with him for like 16 hours I've heard Kashmir 3 times and Gordon Lightfoot's entire discography
I had to vent a little
