hey! i play at least one show a week and occasionally tour in a couple of bands and am looking to change my tone by upgrading my amp. currently, I use a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, with a MIJ jazzmaster and a Fulltone Fulldrive II, with the gain at about a quarter.  For anyone that doesn't know, that pedal sounds a lot like a tubescreamer (my tone isn't far from early strokes). What I would like to do is transition from using my pedal for gain, to my amp, and do that by upgrading my amp.

playing cleanly with my jazzmaster at band volume, these are the tones i'm going for:

https://thehecksdotcom.bandcamp.com/track/airport-run - i like this tone probably the most, specifically how much gain it has on it and how dark it is. you can hear it most clearly at 1:08

these are other tones I like:
https://www . youtube . com/watch?v=1sXcn8WXdLc (i know this is partially due to tape distortion)
https://www . youtube . com/watch?v=w7UjpWhF2d8 (this could be a hair less clean).

also, ideally the amp would take distortion / delay pedals well, since i use them in one band -- 90% perecent of the time, i'm playing clean (low gain) though

what amps should I be looking for? I am selling a gibson sg standard to finance the amp buy, so I am keeping my deluxe -- alternatively, I could sell both and have a larger budget.  My budget selling the Gibson would likely be $800-1000, or $800-1400 if I sold the deluxe.

I know that one dude in the hecks uses a fender princeton. A lot of bands I see use twin reverb's and jazz choruses.  I have a friend who swears by the deluxe reverb too. personally, I have been leaning towards a princeton or a twin, which I know are on likely on different ends of the spectrum. I think I could afford a princeton and keep my hot rod deluxe, which definitely has enough headroom for cleans -- so in that case, if the princeton is the best for those tone i might go for it. what do y'all think?
