So I just got this idea, what if your rig just went up in flames but you have got a rock/metal gig in 2 hours and you only have 250 euro's/pounds/dollars.
What would you go for?
Rules:
- You do still have your guitar;
- You can't plug into a PA, it has got to be all you.

I would go for this:

This would get me a good distortion tone out of a pedal, with a cabsim into an actieve fullrage speaker, it would do the job.

Go to the nearest guitar center and buy the harbinger 60W PA system (4-channel mixer + two 1x10 ported cabs).  Retails 200 bucks but I personally bought this for 120 on sale months ago, and I can say between the line volume and master volume pushes a good amount of volume actually.

Leaving 50 bucks, I'd go right to the pedal area and get the Behringer V-tone bass amp modeler / bass driver (30 bucks) and the zoom G1on and use the high gain amp and cab sim and layer a good distortion and fuzz on it (20 bucks)

The behringer will give me more pronounced bass levels and tones, and predrive the amp, and the Zoom will give me my amp/cab/dirt box - between the two I could dial a gnarly high gain tone full range tone, and the pa mixer and speakers will take it like a dream.

Fender fm100h used 100 bucks, cheap used 2x12. Bugera 2x12 is about 85 to 100. Used boss sd1 overdrive about 25 and a used mxr prime distortion about 20. Bam in budget and works surprisingly well. I ran that set up but with an 85 dollar b52 4x12 when I was broke.

I'd get a used Line 6 Pod X3 and a decent powered monitor pair like M-Audio BX8s.
The reason being that it's got some good models, and I could re-create my recording sound pretty accurately

Not as dumb as making another account to argue with people on your own thread.
