Hi There,

I recently purchased a Fender telecaster and decided to change the strap lock buttons to schaller locks.
After screwing in the bottom one, i noticed the screw just keeps on turning.
I decided to fix this with wood glue and 2 toothpicks in it but the screw still keeps on turning.
The straplock button itself won't budge so should i be worried about it?

You probably just didn't use enough toothpicks.

I wouldn't put weight on that strap button until you've fixed it properly.

And well yes, I'll enjoy the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, because trying to get one is clearly smarter than any word you have spoken thus far.
Yeah I would completely refill with wood filler then redrill. Or just use a larger thread screw.
