Hello, i'm looking to start playing guitar this summer. I don't need anything spectacular just a beginner guitar and i'd rather not spend more than $130/$140 usd. I've found a few guitars on sale on musiciansfriend.com and they seem to be good options, i'm wondering which one of them would be better or maybe if there are better options. I'd like to have decent versatility in genres as i'm learning.

I've also looked into the beginner player packs such as the epiphone les paul player pack with the les paul special ii, but it seems I may be able to get better stuff when buying individual parts.
If you're willing to spend maybe $60 more, what about this?

Seems fairly versatile, 2 humbuckers and a single coil in the middle, with a tremolo for some tremmy playing
- Strandberg OS 7
- A cheap fender strat knock-off not worth naming
- Garageband
- Boss GT-1
- Potato

I could be happy with any of those. I recently did a  setup on the LP Jr version of the Epi LP Special I. I was really impressed with the workmanship, weight (about 7 lbs), neck profile and quality of the electronic parts (big MIK pots). The tuners didn't look very glamorous, but they worked fine. The pickup was a bit to warm sounding for my tastes, but the rest of the guitar was good enough that I would have been prepared to swap it.
