I bought a brand new Epiphone ES-335 two days ago. Today I was playing it standing up and the strap snapped off and the whole thing landed on tile face down. There was no damage besides a chip in the neck next to the nut. When I was playing it later on it started to buzz when I played the Low E open. It doesn't buzz when I play frets only open. How can I fix this? The chip doesn't go into the neck only about a quarter of an inch chipped off.
The guitar may have damage that isn't visible so don't be surprised if you need to spend some money to fix it.  That said, you probably just need to have it re setup.  It'll probably need the truss rod , action, and intonation adjusted and with a bit of luck that will be all it needs.
