first, thanks. here is what i have.

focusrite saphire 2i4
2x KRK monitors (yes i know. i got them REALLY CHEAP)
microkorg synth
radial pro D2 (two channel passive DI BOX)
radial  X-Amp two channel reamp box (active)

at the moment i am only using one mic. just a plain ole SM-57. but i want to buy all of the cables to run two at this time.

Focustrite 2i4

(back) 2x balanced outs, TRS

(back) four line outs unbalanced like RCA jack.

(front) two mic ins/ inst in

the Radial PROD2

L and R XLR out balanced mic level low impedence

L and R 1/4" through-puts

L and $ 1/4" input

the radial x amp studio reamper

line level XLR input

direct out 1 - (1/4")

isolated out 2 - (1/4")

MicroKorg

i would like to hook up my synth as both a controller an instrument. its just a little microkorg but i will use it for sound and possibly tracking drums.I don't know which cable option to use for either. i imagine i will need at least two midi cables.

____________

i have a fuckton of 1/4 standard instrument cables (TS)
four long TRS 1/4 cables
one mic cable, and that is about it.

i am ordering this as soon as i can figure out what i need.

i just got married and TBH money is tight, i want to get this right the first time... lol.

what should i use for the speakers?

thanks! i am not overly computer savvy and could use all of the help i can get.

First, I'm going to assume that you mean a Scarlett 2i4.

Second, there's nothing wrong with KRK monitors. Nick Wollage uses them recording soundracks for film over the inhouse monitoring at AIR studios. He did the Bourne series. So don't let the common thought deterime your choices.

Third, I'm assuming Rokit series. So that's what this is designed around.

So this out of the way, I'll diagram it.

(I errored, only one line to reamp, I'm dumb)

So you'll need:

1 Split RCA from 2i4 to Rokits

2 MIDI cables from KORG to 2i4 (one each way for full MIDI goodness)

2 TRS ('stereo') 1/4 from KORG to DI

2 smaller XLRs from DI to front of 2i4

2 XLRs of your choice for the mics to fron of 2i4 (you'll need to do swaps of the cables there.)

1 TRS to Male XLR cable from interface to ReAmp

1 guitar cable from ReAmp to whatever

You don't need gold cables. I use just plain jane Digiflex and have never had any issues with durability or tone.
