Hello all,

I bought what I was told to be a 2003 Fender American Vintage '62 Reissue Strat in sunburst...

I called Fender Customer Support and the neck plate # V142485....is not on file with Fender.

Has anyone run into this before? I know the BEST way to date these is to pull the neck and look at the heel, I was just wondering if anyone had this same problem with the neck plate number not on file?

Thanks

ThAt plate seems scratched up but back of guitar shows no wear. If fender doesn't recognize it that tells you something. You can get after market 62 style necks. Where did you get it?

monwobobbo It's on Reverb...

The seller did have a $3000 Taylor Acoustic listed as well though, not sure if it matter but I did notice that too.
