For some time now, the neck pickup on my Les Paul hasn't been working correctly.  I had the same problem on another LP I owned.  For some reason, the bridge and also both pickups at once works just fine.  But when I switch to the neck pickup, my sound and tone drop out almost completely (volume, too).  And then it'll come back sometimes.  I'm not sure what the problem is, but I thought you guys might be able to help.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Also, these pickups are very new Dimarzio's, installed by a tech that absolutely knows what he's doing.  Thanks!

It sounds to me like it is something with the selector switch.  A few years ago i had the same problem on one of my les pauls. I changed the switch and it solved it. It sounds like this might be a common problem with LP. At the time I found it funny you pay 2 grand for a guitar and a 2$ switch ruins your day.

+1 prol' the switch.... My LP Special was acting the same way last week... a little DeoxIT on the switch took care of it.

I agree with the switch issue. Sometime they can be cleaned but I find that replacing it is the best answer. It's an easy fix.
Yes I am guitarded also, nice to meet you.
