I absolutely love the feel and look of an ES-335, but I've been playing a lot of heavier stuff lately and want to have the versatility of a Floyd. That said, I like the idea of something custom and inimitable. I know many won't like the idea, but how would a Floyd Rose on a 335 affect it's tonal characteristics if I were to have one built custom?

Probably about the same amount as a Floyd Rose affects the tonal characteristics of a Les Paul.
Not a lot.

But...give some thought as to why this isn't a go-to option for 335s.

It'd be awesome but you're looking at an expensive build.
there are some guitars that are semi-hollow that are not quite the same construction as the 335 that you can get with a floyd tho.

i think diesel will do one on their sh6
Prs se Holcomb is the answer
