I always thought the three pin Mic XLR cable was the better choice when recording using an audio interface as opposed to the 1/4 inch connection.  
Lately I find that none of the newer audio interfaces even have them.  They simply have the line level inputs from what I see.  Or am I missing something?  

I was looking to get a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 but noticed it wont work with the mic cables I already have.  

Are 3 Pin Mic inputs on Audio interfaces a thing of the past?
I just looked at the interfaces listed on Musicians Friend and didn't see any interfaces that didn't have an XLR input. Maybe the look of the "combo" inputs that cover both low and high impedance are confusing you.

So I guess its an  XLR/TRS combo input on the Focusrite.  Thanks guys
