I know this is more suited for the beer thread, but I can't poll 'em ya dig

There are way more beer styles than most people realize. It's a whole world you can explore.

What's your fav beer style?

I'll include as many as I can think of, but I'm sure I'll forget some. I'm gonna leave off barrel-aged, most sours, and imperial monikers, cuz that'd just make it convoluted af

My favorite styles are:

Red IPA
Black IPA
Double IPA
Milk Stout
Wee Heavy
Pale Ale
Gose
Chocolate Stout
Dry Lager
SMASH (these vary a lot, but I have yet to have one I didn't like)

Depends on the season tbh.

Winter is for darker ales and stouts.

Summer is for pale ale's & lagers

Draught beer all year round.
#5
stouts, ipa's and pale ales for sure, not really into dry drinks, but most lagers yes, usually lighter, sweeter flavors

i haven't tried a chocolate stout, but that sounds real good

From that list:

Bocks
Oktoberfest/Marzen
Dunkelweizen
Belgian Trippel
Other

No sours, smgdh. Gose and bier de garde don’t count.
My God, it's full of stars!
#8
Stouts are horrid, pale and amber ales are decent, dark ales are great, but lagers are best

IPAs taste like not dry lager to me, is that what they’re supposed to be?
#9
Fuck... I could use a beer right now. An amber ale would be nice.
You are now using UG Black.
You are now using UG Classic.

I'm sick and tired of people calling America the stupidest country in the world. I personally think Europe is the stupidest country.

I wanted to include more sours, but I just couldn't come up with many labels that seemed appropriate and I sure as shit wasn't gonna make "sours" an option

Black and Red IPA hmtfu

huu

2 of my favorite beers ever were a red and a black IPA. The black IPA was in the taproom at Oskar Blues as a 1-time brew, so I'll probably never have it again, but the red is a flagship of a very small denver brewery called Joyride. All ingredients from the southern hemisphere and it tasted like a jungle. It was amazing.

Quote by JustRooster
But seriously, Black IPA is the pinnacle of beer.

Do you get distribution from O'Dell where you are? They're a fairly large CO brewery. They have a winter seasonal black IPA called Mountain Standard which is pretty good. Maybe I could send you a pack?

poll results are so impressive until you realize that 4 is the highest count on any of them. Your spread is too wide... nothing meaningful can be taken from it.

Nah... anytime a poll exceeds beyond 4 or 5 options, nothing meaningful can be drawn. Solid attempt, an A for effort, but nothing meaningful.

Edit: especially since we can't view the names of the voters - I miss that feature; it separated the wheat from the chaff.

Amber ale
Brown ale
Most stouts, as long as they're not coffee or chocolate ones (had this oatmeal stout a while back that was absolute heaven)
Geuze (sour)
Pretty much everything else

Generally not a fan of beers that are too heavy (10% +), especially not if they're also sweet.

Stout, but I don't like the thin ones. I prefer if they're almost "heavy" in texture, as it were rather than just strong dark water.

Other (none lol)

I’ve tried blonde ale and vanilla porter before though and those were okay.

I've never liked beer.  Cider is ok but I'd much rather have rum or bourbon.
