I searched for the old thread and got nothing, so I decided to ressurect it...

Post your favorite breakdown, what band/song/time.

Unearth
False Idols
:58-1:11

One of the best breakdowns I've heard in any metalcore song.

Don't listen to too much hardcore, but I really like the breakdown of Talk Is Cheap by Comeback Kid. I think it's around 1:15.

What'd it say before he edited it?

My favourite breakdown is I don't know, the breakdown in Implosive Disgorgence - "Chapter 3", that's really heavy, haha.

I have to say I'm not too keen on breakdowns.

1.Becuase of all the silly hxc ninja kicking that ensues.

&

2. Some are a bit OTT and get way too cliche *cough* Throwdown.

But some are alright like 1.15min on Lorelei by Comeback Kid, when they don't get so ridiculously slow.

Practically all breakdowns sound the same, but Unearths breakdowns are pretty cool, so are KSEs

Not really, compare Unearth's typical breakdowns to As I Lay Dying's.
