I love Pearl Jam. I'm going to see them in Toronto in September. My favorite songs are Nothing As it Seems, Smile, I am Mine, Do the Evolution and of course, Yellow Ledbetter. They're my favorite band that's still together.

im glad for them, a lot of the canada shows sold out in MINUTES, its great that they have enough fans to do that while not really cracking the mainstream since last kiss. Im gonna see them however many shows they do in my area when they hit the US later. everyone should go see them, there is no crowd ive seen as pumped and as vocal as when i saw pj.

oh, and black, rearviewmirror, yellow ledbetter, and off he goes are my faves, but i love almost all of them

I love pearl Jam, I'm seeing them in September in Saskatoon, can't wait.
I've only got three of thier albums, but I am slowly collecting more.

What was the name of thier original band, before vedder joined? you know when the lead singer died.

Pearl Jam is the greatest band of all time. Not For You is a truly badass song.

Wow, another Pearl Jam thread. That's like what, the fourth this week?

They're an awesome band, one of my favorites. Ten is one of the defining albums of the grunge era. Pure class.

Eddie Vedder has been my biggest influence when it comes to my own singing, and partly in my writing. An awesome frontman he is.

in know ten is a great album an all, but i actually prefer vs. probably because i had rearviewmirror before ten, therefore i already had the best songs from ten.

Damn, they are so under-rated!!! Notice the similarity that all the fans share? They praise almost EVERY SONG!!! Very few bands had the ability to create that sort or worship, radical. I've tried to choose my absolute fave but it never works, I just end up with a migraine. My top fave will change day to day, but overall, they all kick Pearl arse. Long live the sperm.

when i saw pearl jam, during jeremy, since every fan sings every song loud as hell, especially that one, it was the loudest F*CK i have ever heard in my life.

It should be plainly obvious to any real fan that your name came from "Jeremy."

Great song. Very name-worthy.

Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament were with Mother Love Bone, then they all met with Temple of the Dog, where Vedder sung on Hunger Strike. Before they were called Pearl Jam, they called themselves Mookie Blaylock, a basketball player. 10 was his number

I agree. It seems like no one realizes pearl Jam exists anymore. Which is a shame because I think they are the greatest. Eddie Vedder is my favorite vocalist, as well.

Man of The Hour

Where have you been looking?

I've noticed loads of PJ threads around, not that they don't deserve the credit for their early work.

My favourite is Alive, it's just so well written.

Garden, Porch, State of Love and Trust and Not For You are also greats. I could go on for so long, but I won't.

Lukin is a great song but it's only a minute long but i dont think many people have heard of it
