I don't know if I ever made a thread for this band before or not. I'll be shocked if anyone else knows who they are. But I saw them live once before by accident and I ended up loooving them.

Saxon Shore sounds a bit like Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, and The Album Leaf mixed up a bit. In other words, they're good. Check them out and see what you think...

My favorite songs are:
-"Secret Fire, Binding Light"
-"8.23.03" (the live version of "Isolated By The Secrets")
-"Amber, Ember, Glow"
-"The Revolution Will Be Streaming"

Here's some more audio:

They have four discs out -- my favorite is "Four Months Of Darkness" personally.

So?

Yay! Their tour just wrapped up, I should've posted this sooner. They are awesome live. Seriously.

I stumbled across these guys accidentally, because they were headlining a local music festival that I usually go to every week. But once they came on, I realized they weren't some crappy local band from this area. It was my first time seeing a post-rock band live, and it was magical. Their sound was amazing, everyone was sitting on the ground, orgasming away. I bought their cd "The Exquisite Death of Saxon Shore" and I listen to it quite a bit. I prefer it over what I've heard from the other albums. I wish they'd come back here again some time soon.

Yeah, you introduced me as well (indirectly). I've only got 'Be a bright blue', but it is a fantastic album.

I have a few of their MP3s on my i-tunes but I don't remember hearing about them from this site...

Or maybe I did

Anyway, from all 3 or 4 tracks of what i've heard, they're really good. I'll listen to the tracks you've posted now.

I only have the Luck Will Not Save Us From a Jackpot of Nothing EP, but it's damn good. They're one of my favorite bands to just relax to.
