Since today's music is almost devoid of any guitar solos worth jumpin' up n down about, I thought it might be nice to pay some kind of tribute to the Classic Rock years when most rock music contained some of the most amazing guitar solos to ever tickle our ears.

So without further raving on by yours truly, what in your opinion are the top ten guitar solos from the Classic Rock years?

My selection:

1. Stairway To Heaven (Jimmy Page)
2. Comfortably Numb (David Gilmour)
3. Freebird (Allen Collins)
4. All Along The Watchtower (Jimi Hendrix)
5. Eruption (EVH)
6. Maggot Brain (Eddie Hazel)
7. Highway Star (Richie Blackmore)
8. Hotel California (Don Felder & Joe Walsh)
9. Bohemian Rhapsody (Brian May)
10. Do You Feel Like I Do (Peter Frampton)

Stairway To Heaven (Jimmy Page)
November Rain (Slash)
Mr. Crowley (Randy Rhoads)

I agree. Also, I don't particularly think much to the Bohemian Rhapsody solo. But that's just me.

You see, I want to put some Garcia on here, but I really can't choose. So damn many shows, and all those different solos.

But, Frank Zappa has got plenty of good solos (Muffin Man, Willie the Pimp, Don't Eat the Yellow Snow, etc, too many to list)

Eruption should be#1

Eruption is an over-rated stupid solo thats just played as fast as humanly possible with heavy distortion and effects.

And my two cents:

Blue Sky- Allman Brothers
The End- Beatles
Wish You Were Here- Floyd
Bold As Love- Hendrix
And if ever You come near, I will hold up high a mirror.
Lord, I could never show you anything as beautiful as You.
