Nothing's better than the original lineup.

can someone tell me why everyone I know hates graves. and that he "ruined" the misfits

Well, he did.
Hes a great singer IMO, but he wasn't Danzig, once they lost Danzig, they wern't the Misfits anymore. They should of changed their name when they got Graves.

Tylerisshot, you sir are an ignoirant bigot and a fucktard.

The original lineup sucks. it doesn't even have Jerry Only in it. Or Franche Coma.

My favourite lineup is:
Danzing / Only / Steele / Googy

I don't like Doyle so much because he made the misfits look more uniform and less like a punk militia.

Glenn Danzig is to Bruce Lee as Michael Graves is to Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.

"Chud" actually taken from the movie of the same name: C.H.U.D. , and is an acronym (in the movie) for "cannibalistic human underground dwellers". a little slice of cheesy scifi.
as for the lineups, i never cared too much for Danzigs voice, although seeing them live was a totally different experience, as he tended to get more harsh with his vocals as opposed to his seeming obsession with trying to sound like the "punk rock jim morrison" on vinyl.
the version of Attitude of Flipside Vinyl Fanzine was truly great.
still, i think i prefer Graves over Danzig.

.

Dr. Chud, C.H.U.D. standing for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Drummer, has been drumming with Jerry and Doyle since 1993, when he originally joined them as a replacement drummer for Kryst The Conqueror. Dr. Chud, born on 4/4/64 graduated from Lodi High School with Doyle in 1982. He also played in local Lodi bands Sardonica, and Sacred Trash before joining the reformed Misfits with Doyle,Graves, and Jerry.

The Misfits are really good but a lot of their songs are horribly produced and terrible quality.

Even on the budget they had and their DIY ethos they shouldn't have come out that badly. The quality is horrible.

As long as Danzig was in it,i think it had a good line-up.I can stand Graves, but i still think they shouldnt have used the Misfits for a name.Without Danzig, its not really the Misfits.Danzig pretty much WAS the Misfits, without him they wouldnt have stuck out as much as they did.Im not trying to say Jerry and Doyle and everyone else are'nt allowed credit for ebing in the Misfits, but it was danzig's voice and lyrics that made the band so unique when they first came out.

When they come around my area,i go.Its not the real Misfits, but still, they play all the old songs and its pretty fun.Plus, its really really rare that a band comes around here,so i usually dont have much better things to do alot of the time.

Yeah, I saw the new lineup with Jerry Only fronting and Dez Cadena guitaring and Robo drumming. They played a ton of the classic Danzig-era songs which were pretty decent. They also broke out and did some Black Flag covers with Dez on vocals which was pretty awesome. Worth seeing in my opinion.

well I probably will now.Cheers. I was worried I'd be wasting my time if it was just like 50's stuff from that last record they did. I didn't know what to expect.
