personally I love Bad Religion, but I think that alot of guys in this forum don't. I don't know, they always seemed like a good bad with intelligent lyrics that really believed in the music that they played.

i seriously think the drummer knows 1 beat except sometimes he puts in different rolls to spice things up =O
When I hit 'em from the back, I got them mami's saying dammit man.

When I put it in their mouth, I got them mami's saying duh-huh-huh-muhh.

There new stuff is horrible. Old stuff is meh. Kind of, like not great, not awesome, but not bad. I'll listen to them every once in a while but I don't spend too much time listening to them.

I love them. Even thought their music can be monotaneous, the lyrics are stellar. My favorite release is without a doubt into the unknown, even though they tried to get rid of it.

i think the lyrics themselves are a testament to the fact that they aren't monotonous. although they do attack similar subjects on many of their albums.

and in terms of punk guitar, their guitarists are practically virtuosic (not in the pick sweep/modal kind of way).

and BR's had their string of drummers over the years. they basically follow the same old joke of the expendable drummer. though Brooks Wackerman seems to have a lot of promise, skill, and lasting power with this band. for fucks sake the guys in the band are probably his dad's age ,

I love Bad Religion for this reason, and this reason only:

http://www.b9board.com/viewtopic.php?t=212157&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

that's too weird...but the responses on that site are classic.

and yeah, it's pretty amazing that he's Chad Wackerman's brother. guess it should be no surprise that he hits the skins so well.

there was a time when i really enjoyed this band. evry new record was a little different in sound and style than the previous one, yet still sounded like a "Bad Religion" record.--if that makes any sense. after Suffer came out out, which i thought was great by the way, all of their other records sounded exactly like Suffer. i just got plain out bored with it, as the different styles is what kept me coming back to BR in the first place. (well, that and the increible lyrics).

Yeah, the photos look a bit dodgy to me, I'd say they were fake.
They're a great band. One of the bands I've been listening to the longest in my life. 'The gray race' has to be my favourite.
I've always considered them more of a pop-punk band in sound though.

The gray race indeed is a damn good record. I think they are pop-punk(ish) now, but their earlier stuff wasnt, and it all kicks ass I LOVE the backing vocals on the new record

I used to like them. The lyrics are great but the monotonus(sp?) and lackluster music really put me off. Normally it wouldn't really bother me that much but if you're going to have lyrics like that(intelligent I mean) they should be paired with decent musicians. I've seen bands that had awesome music but were ruined by a ****ty singer. I think this is the only time I've seen it work in reverse.

i love all their stuff. their new stuff is great.

and to me they don't sound the same, of course on their first CD but not "Empire"

different play styles are used throughout, honestly you can't say sinister rouge and let them eat war sound the same

simply put they're awesome and they don't sound exactly the same like almost every punk band ( not a bad thing as long as it's good, it justs makes them all the better)

my favorite album from them is either **** armageddon...this is hell, Into the unknown (talk about exploring genres) The empire strikes first or recipe for hate

psh, i'd say in that second set of pics he isn't even whacking.

Gray Race is surprisingly good with some of the best lyrics i can think of. though on Gray Race there are a few pretty weak songs. Against the Grain and No Control would have to be my favorites, and probably Recipe for Hate after those. and i can only stand to listen to a few songs on Empire, and don't even mention New America...say what you want about BR trying to push their musical boundaries, but the songs are a too poppy for my taste.

As monotonous as the music may sometimes be (Perfect Example: "Big Bang" and "You," when I first heard the intro's, I thought I was hearing the same song again) I still think Bad Religion is a great band. My favorite album still remains at Generator, with No Control in second.

Bad religion are my favourite band but i still see some of the points like songs sounding similar i think the solos got better with brian baker in the band but i could be wrong. empire sounds awesome i think the vocal harmonies get better with each release. i wish theyd come over to the uk more often, and especially come to wales we need more awesome bands to play cos at the moment its all bands that sound like funeral for a friend, which isnt really such a bad thing apart from you get sick of going to shows where you think the same bands been playing all night.

I love Bad Religion becuase they're so politically minded and intelligent(spl?). And just to throw this in there: my friend told me that like 3 of the members are Jewish. Ain't that sweet?

i like bad religion- wouldn't class them in a musical sense as 'punk' though, they're too melodic!, but lyrical... and thei lyrics are inteligent.

wasn't to keen on 'new america though' not their greatest moment i feel.

I love Suffer. It only has one bad song.

Everyone who says that they sound like a pop-punk band, I would partially agree. Their newer stuff is definitely really catchy, but if you listen to older stuff like Oligarchy, it's hard to say that they're a pop-punk band even though that may be what they play now.

i like bad religion, i think they make pretty cool music, but i can't say i'm a fan of their lyrics. To me they sound like someone who's tryin to make out that he knows more then everyone else does.
are there any horse socks? is anyone listening to me?
