the epiphone is custom is made of mohagony (sp?) and that stagg was made of alder.

now i could be wrong but im sure mohagony is better then alder.

i tryed the epiphone custom and the necks on the epiphone was supper big.

This seems pretty cool, the headstock is much better than the Epi headstock, particularly because this headstock is almost identical to the gibson ones, so a plus on the looks. Unless the Epiphone LP custom is a higher end model, this one will be about the same, maybe even better.

it is glued in / set , also Alder isnt a worse wood than mahogony , its just lighter and has a brighter tone compared to mahogony which is heavier and has more sustain with a darker tone.

Stagg's are the kind of brand that you see selling on eBay from a 0 feedback Chinese man for 99p and no one buys them.

Ive played some at teh store and the neck is too thick and it doesnt feel like quality plus made in china so i wouldnt trust it, get a low line Indonesian ESP LTD for the same money or a Dean which plays 1000 times better and the neck feels like a real guitar.

I have seen and played Stagg LP copies first hand and while they looked ok, they felt very cheap. I could not help but be suspicious of them. The logo on the headstock is made of metal and it looks incredibly cheap. It looks like a tag from a pair of jeans.

For a realiable LP copy, try a Tokai, an Agile or an Epi. Not much else out there is any good.
