I really like what I'm hearing.

Which album is the most mellow? I have money enough for one CD and I'm really looking for some melodic, soft, autumnal stuff.

The only advantage of home-schooling is that it gives you good reason to commit suicide.

Hit this once or twice, and you'll be twice as nice.

I recently bought Ashes Against the Grain, my first Agalloch album. I must say it's very well done. The only downside is that there are barely any tabs for the songs online.

Im probably alone on this but I hated The Mantle. Even the last time I listened to it about a month ago I still disliked it. However I fell in love with Ashes Against the Grain pretty much instantly. I love every song on that album.

I love every single album they put out. One of the few bands constantly and never get bored/tired of em.

and I thought the song was called "As Embers dress the sky"...

but anyway, beautiful song indeed...

My favourite Agalloch song would be a toss up between Not Unlike the Waves and Odal. Its weird to like a sort of interlude track like Odal so much, but I can't help but close my and just listen when that piano line kicks in, it's so beautiful. Desolation song is great too, even though the lyrics tend to come off a tad corny to me.

The very thought of picking a favorite Agalloch song scares me, its all sheer excellence.

*Agalloch fellatio*

Does anyone else find 2:38-4:38 on Fire Above, Ice Below to be just pure excellence? Maybe its just me but theres like three notes in that section that make it damn beautiful.

Definitely!
Fire Above, Ice Below must be one of my favourite Agalloch songs
