Me and my friend had some fun recording Enter Sandman, so give some advice... right now it's only partway finished cuz my friend (the drummer) had to leave. Go ahead and tell me it sucks if you like, or give any comments.

EDIT: I changed the link to dmusic cuz the player on purevolume stinks...

its pretty good its really accurate... you will never sound exactly the same unless you buy all the same equip but thats a waste of your $$

i like it but im tired of poeple covering metalica and nirvana and bands who arent worthy of being covered...

the rule of thumb is they need to be old and crippled if you are going to record a cover of their song... not selling albums

thats just my opinion though dont take it as an attack on your recording because i like it.

You nailed it but this is a VERY easy song. Try to do something harder.

Chicks who like bands like metallica are freaking awesome, and i agree the cover sounded great, the only thing you could do to make that better is add the solo. Good job.

Awesome cover, everythings awesome!

And to nobs who keep saying "diz song izz eezay" everytime someone covers it, its usually the people who say that sorta thing that can't play it properly, like someone I know personally. I played it to him and he goes "thats so easy" then he couldn't play it at all.

Well, it's kind of interesting actually... I'll start with the 2 guitars goin through the left and right channels...

I have my guitar plugged into a digitech modeling processor... I use the fake rectifier setting. Then I put it through a wah that I keep all the way up (treble side), then I turn town the treble and pump up the bass and mids on my equalizer. (i can do that cuz the wah adds way more treble than I need.) I was just jerkin with stuff one day, and it sonded really cool so I use it alot now.

Then for the middle channel...

I just use my standard distortion with bass and treble at 7 and mids at 10 Not that hard to pull off...

i think if you let the notes ring out a bit in the intro it would sound better

Really really nice job man. Like I know this is a realitivly simple song but you pulled it off well. The production quality is top notch (At times it sounded exactly like the album) and everything sounds really good. Wish there was vocals. The drums sounded really great too. The only thing I didn't like too much was the tone of the clean guitar. bit too trebbly. Try switching to your neck pick up at that part. And yeah you skipped the solo but the mixing and recording quality was good enough that I'll ignore that...for now.

Anyway great cover.

Which clean guitar? There were 2, one for the intro then one in the interlude. (I'm pretty sure u mean the one in the interlude)

As for vocals, my voice sucks but I'll give it a shot later.

this was the first song i played at my first live performance ever and it was an awesome song. i played it good except the extension cord to the amp was un-plugged in the middle of the song. you played it 10 times better than i did. although in the intro, have the drummer play the first drum beat with the heavy toms instead of the bass drum. that was awesome

Let the clean notes in the beginning ring out longer. I find the tone just a little too bassy. I think you should have played the second guitar all the way through also. Pretty good though, can't wait to hear the final product.

It was pretty good, the wah at the beginning sounded a bit weak though, I dunno if its just me or not, but other than that, sounded good. Did your drummer leave AFTER you guys made this song? And if not, then howd you make the drums? And also, whatd you use to record? I think it was recorded very cleanly.

Crit mine back at https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333523 please, thanks!

^ I love garage band, that's what I use. Very easy, fun to mess around with too.

Anyways, during the rythyms, it sounds like there's only one guitar playing. And when a second came in, it sounded a lot better.
