Anyone else obsessed with rush? I love them so much.... Geddy Lee is an insane bass player, and neil peart has a drumkit that is 360 degrees of percussion, then Alex Lifeson ties it all together with the guitars.... my current fav song is YYZ. Discuss

Rush is just plainly one of the most talented bands ever. They are the example of a power trio. And my favorites are La Villa Strangiato and Anthem.

i think that all of rushes songs are brilliant, they are insane with some of the stuff they do, like how they all switch on and off with rythm and lead, also how they can do stuff that no one else can do

Rush is absolutely amazing. All of their styles of playing just fit together so perfectly. And Neil Peart's drumming...well...it speaks for itself.

My favorites are La Villa Strangiato, YYZ, and Limelight.

Rush are a great Canadian band, one of the bands from over here that are actually good. Neil Pert is such an amazing drummer, with one of the most extensive drum kits I've ever seen. Alex Lifeson is a great guitarist, and his style compliments them so well. Geddy Lee is an awesome bassist, and I like his singing, although I know a lot of people who think it's too high. Overall Rush=amazing.

Rush are pretty awesome. 2112 and A Farewell To Kings are really great albums.
California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain, Honolulu star-bright, the song remains the same.

Rush are... yeah, a power trio. They're all awesome at what they do. I also love how the bass plays a bigger part in their music than most bands..

I would have to say my favorite song by them is the Spirit of Radio. I love that riff at the beginning.

When the little sensation gets in your way
Not one ambition whisperin' over your shoulder
Isn't it amazing you can do anything " - Gord Downie

LOL *Lifeson

They are up there with Cream regarding most talented trios.
Maiden + Zeppelin + Rush = One hell of a good time.

Yep. Cream and Rush are the only amazing trios that come to mind Actually thats a hard choice. Clapton vs. Lifeson, Bruce vs. Lee, and Baker vs. Peart. Thay're all so good, what do all y'all think? Cream or Rush?

Rush is basically pure, concentrated awesome.
"Working Man" is one of the best songs ever, with other Rush songs like "Tom Sawyer" and "Closer To The Heart" right behind.

Also, I like Geddy Lee's guest appearance on the McKenzie Brothers' album, singing the chorus to "Take Off"...genious.
"...And I'm pretty sure what you did to my children's snowman is illegal, if not, sodomy."

Rush > Cream. No contest.

People don't put much insight to their later works. Vapor Trails is a brilliant album.

They have so many awesome long epic songs 2112, Xanadu, and Hemispheres is one that is very underated and doesn't get the attention it deserves. Musically it definately rivals 2112.

Rush is awesome! Not only is the instrumentals beyond talented, but the lyrics are something to speak off. Total revolutionary.

I've said this many a time in this forum, but if you're just getting into Rush, buy 'A Farewell To Kings' and 'Hemispheres' first and together. Brain Damage'll back me up on this one.

I've been wanting to buy that album, but never brought myself to doing so. Next time I'm in Best Buy I think I'll pick it up.

Rush is easily my favorite group, with Yes coming in a close second. I own every album prior to 1980, as well as Moving Pictures, Exit Stage Left, Counterparts, and Roll the Bones. My favorite stuff is their epics. 2112 and Fountain of Lamneth changed my life.

There epics are like extremely intense and dramatic. Although i'd prefer Cream over Rush, I think Rush is much more talented in their musical abilities. Come on, Neil Peart is insane. Thag guy could like outdrum college sections of drummers.
