1. Joe Perry
2. Eddie Van Halen
3. Slash

Slash was probably the one who got me interested in hard rock in the first place, but when I began listening to classic Aerosmith Joe Perry's riffs really made me want to play guitar, and he still inspires me. Later I found Van Halen and sort of set him as the bar I'd like to reach but probably won't.

Guthrie Govan, John Petrucci, Shawn Lane.

My top influences are always changing because if I start listening to a different artist, some of his phrasing things come through in my playing. I do love me some Paul Gilbert too..wish I could do arpeggios like that guy. Now that I think about it, it's extremely hard to pinpoint my playing to JUST 3 guys. I try to use a little bit of everything I've heard into my playing from Derek Trucks, Hendrix, Vai, all the way to John Scofield and Buckethead. I wouldn't consider myself a player of any particular genre. I play metal the least, blues, rock, and jazz the most. I dont have anything against metal or anything I just never really need to play it.

The Guns N' Roses influence on me;

To the gigs I choose.

ect... IDK, Guns N' Roses had good taste, I guess, in a world where Take That topped the charts, I'm glad for their albums, back in the day... So I guess that and a whole bunch of stuff made me, me. I remember when listening to Guns N' Roses wasn't cool anymore when I was 8 - that's how old I am.

I'm changing my top three:
1. Ace Frehley
2. Joe Perry
3. EVH

Yes, a guy not on my previous list is number one now. Two or three YouTube videos later and I had a new fave.

Nothing wrong with that

But, in an effort to expand your horizon a little, you can add Randy Rhoads to your list, since Buckethead was, in turn, influenced by him(and it shows on a few of his songs, Welcome to BucketheadLand being the most obviously noticable).

And...maybe Paul Gilbert I suppose. I mean, the man was one of Bucket's main teachers.

Just extend your list to 3 different names >_>
