well here we go..........

ive got a squier laying around that i never touch and my friend and i and gonna revamp this thing........im gonna strip the paint that it has now, its a bright red but i want to do some stripes. I also am gonna put a new bridge in and new pickups for sure. Probably humbuckers or lace sensors, not sure yet. Not sure when im going to start, probably next weekend but ill keep you posted.

I don't mind the neck so i think i will keep that.

heres what im gonna do

-new pups
-new paint
-new bridge
-going to try to take a tuner and take all the extra **** off of it and somehow mount it on the guitar somewhere
-make some sort of design out of reflectors (like on road signs) somewhere on the guitar

some of those ideas are weird but i think it may look awsome

ill have pics of the guitar and designs up soon

take some aluminum foil, learn how to pronounce it, crumple it up, flatten it out and glue it on there as best you can

*thumbs up*

*edit* write a tutorial on how to rewire and repaint the entire thing after you do.

Aluminum just sounds stupid.

Where would you be putting the tuner V12?

You can get tuners that clamp on to the headstock and 'feel' the vibrations rather than 'hear' the sound.

1808 Sir Humphry Davy (Britain) established the existence of aluminium and named it.

Having a strobe tuner in a guitar would be awesome. My dad's elec-acoustic has a tuner in the control box thingy.

I kinda like the look of the red pup covers in the white. Different and kinda cool. The dark wood look is kinda neat too.

But as for the aluminum vs. aluminium thing, aluminum is the way I say it, but aluminium is the actual term for the makeup of the metal. I know dorky, please dont pwn me too bad. But I used to be a welder so I know about metal structure.

^ yea teleprompters i was going to do that but i cant get the inside of the horns sanded completely down so theres still some crappy scratch marks and a little paint so i think im gonna paint it sonic blue with a white pickguard and repaint those covers the same blue. Its gonna be sweet, ill hopefully have the first coats of paint done this weekend.

Thats the color im going for. Like a classic fender.

"In 1808, Humphry Davy originally proposed the name alumium while trying to isolate the new metal electrolytically from the mineral alumina. In 1812, he changed the name to aluminum to match its Latin root. The same year, an anonymous contributor to the Quarterly Review, a British political-literary journal, objected to aluminum and proposed the name aluminium."

Haha. so basically, the brits HAD to have thing their way. Nevermind the logical route of naming it after its Latin root.. the brits just HAD to be complicated and add a letter.. like colour... haha

i began spraying today.....man what a color

its hard to capture the color so there it is compared to a leaf
