i already heard trivium, avenged sevenfold, and bullet for my valentine, and I'm looking for some more bands that fall in this genre that have some good guitar stuff (I really like avenged sevenfold's and trivium's solos, although many people will disagree I'm sure). Can anyone reccomend other bands in the same genre as trivium and avenged sevenfold that have good guitarists? thanks!

Between The Buried and Me: They may not have solos, but they do some pretty technical riffs.

Obviously nothing, cause besides the ****ty image he possesses, Dan Jacobs is a good guitarist.

Misery Signals, Black Dahlia Murder, the Agony Scene, and Def. Darkest Hour. As I Lay Dying has some fun stuff if you like them too.

They're not talking about hardcore punk, they're talking about "hardcore." It has little in common with its roots in the '80s.

i would say look into like Killswitch, All that remains, Shadows Fall kinda Stuff

And to the guy that Said Dragonforce and CoB are hardcore you must be confused.

Dragonforce are power metal they arent great power metal like Man O War but they are

CoB im not sure what they are classified as but not hardcore. maybe like finnish speed metal or something

Doc and Dallas Coyle from God Forbid are great guitar players. Beyond those guys, though, most of the other metalcore bands with great guitar work have been mentioned.

They're metal though. To the threadstarter-if you have no problem with metal bands, check out In Flames, Soilwork, The Haunted, Testament, Nevermore, and The Absence. Amon Amarth are good, too-the riffs are really simple, but they sound great.

??

Between The Buried And Me have quite a few solos.

I would recommend them due to their superior guitar work and complex song structures.

Check out the songs : Alaska, Aesthetic, and Backwards Marathon to start off with.

Ha. Nice range of bandas you like Paint, but still no 'real' hardcore.

Not taking the piss or anything, but try some Comeback Kid or Cast Aside once in awhile.
