You've got to find simple classics for busking, things like 'Redemption song'. Can't think of any others at the moment though (yes, I'm useless).

Some Travis, like Sing, Driftwood, Flowers In The Window, they are simple songs that every one knows.

Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You
David Gray - Babylon
Radiohead - High and Dry, Street Spirit
Whatever version you want of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

I was watching some guys I know busking. The songs that got the most people giving them money were the ones that as they went by, they said "Hey, I know that song!"

And the four of them singing Bohemian Rhapsody without guitars got a lot too.

I really HATE this song with a passion but it's the only one any buskeer I pass ever seems to play. I never give them money if they play this song.

Wonderwall - Oasis.

It doesn't get more simple than that. Or more overplayed. ****ers.

I consider myself to be really intelligent and I've gotten into a fight coz this kid thought it was nasty to put sour cream on enchiladas.

Any Oasis works.

There was a busker on Saturday that played a good few Oasis covers (and NOT Wonderwall ), and he did it really well.

Alright, I'll give them a try, Japanese Black Speed rarely disappoints.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

Why do people insist on bumping threads that are two years old?

Busking is playing on the street in hope of people dropping money into your hat or whatever.
