Are there still people who care? I thought they all left...
He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt.
He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice.

Eh, but Paus is still in the "fastest shredder list"... Shouldn't he be removed from there? I mean, the whole song is pretty controversial...

Eh, that whole thing needs updating really. And i still cant/dont really believe that lane did that run as transcribed - its nines, sure, but whats the tempo, and is it REALLY consistent? And i want a bit of finality before that run goes at the top. That and francesco fareri, got those two, but theres a minor addition here and there.

i have heard that marcus paus is a real guitar player, and that he really did play the guitar parts that fast. But he sort of went away, because he only did it because of his medical condition. and I think Paganini had the same condition. But I might be wrong. either way, most evidence supports the fact that he was just a talented freak. Both Marcus and Paganini.

Also, i read somewhere that there is someone that played over 10000000 nps, and he did it just to make fun of guitar players that thought speed was important.

. Anyways, Paganini's disorder/jointedness allowed him to have major stretchage. I think Marcus' supposive disorder was rapid neurological movement or some ****, so different things.

Marcus? He was just a huge lane fan who practiced like **** for a few years. So he was FAST. No disorder.

And paganini? I dont think he had any medical condition, just super flexible hands. A lot of people who have been seriously playing an instrument since childhood have this. A friend of mine can almost bend the back of his palm into his arm. Shawn Lane could get his fingertips to touch his wrist - backwards. Paganini had small hands but could stretch like billy-o.

You get the idea. Rubber hands seem to arrive for young prodigies.

His flexibility may have been a result of Marfan syndrome or Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

found that on Wikipedia Re Paganini. It also says that he DID in fact play guitar, man that would've been sweet.

Didntcha know? He wrote for guitar, i have a few cds. Crap compared to his violin stuff. He carried it everywhere. And he was a cello and mandolin player as well.

Kinda like Yngwie plays bass and drums (not drum'n'bass, lol) and Shawn played piano and drums - no-one remembers because the instrument they fronted bands with and were best on was guitar.

Paganini DID have some weird finger thing that allowed him to do crazy **** though.

a myth about paganini is that he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his monster-technique but who would believe such a ****.

his health deteriorated due to somekind of cancer which caused him the ability to speak but he kept playing the violin till he died.

the night before his tragic death it's said the he could be heard improvising wildly on the violin.
