So I've got this ancient Fender. Well, not ancient, but a good 20 years old. It's sucking now though. I've got three frets that sound exactly the same on the high e string, and it's sound horribly tinny on a bunch of other frets on the same string. I looked at the neck, and it doesn't look like the neck itself is warping, and if it was, wouldn't it affect all the notes rather then just a few on the high e string? It doesn't look like it's just the frets either, and as it's higher up on the board, it wouldn't make sense that those frets were the first to go as they aren't and weren't played often. I want to bring it in to a store, but I don't really have the money right now. Any clues as to what's going wrong and how to fix it?

Good call. I actually don't have any pictures, and it's not with me right now. I'm abroad and I left it back home. I'll repost this when I get home with pictures
