Has anyone gotten the chance to try out the new Line 6 Lowdown amps? if so, then what do you think? Personally, i am not a big fan of the line 6 guitar amps, but maybe a bass amp might not sound as digital.
i would rather staple my own hands to a train, than pray on knees that judge and blame.

My guitarists are pretty line 6 obsessed...despite the fact they just run them on insane with full drive and eq...the other effects just don't get used...

anywho, I imagine the line 6 bass amps are pretty useless...how many people want that many effects? I know I use 3 max, and one is a compressor

oh what I was wondering was...anyone tried a full line 6 setup up? the bass, the pod and amp together...is it as bad an idea as it seems?

Line 6 is much more than effects, you also have amp modelling. Imagine "going through" an Eden, then with a click of a footswitch, you're "going through" an Ampeg.

I have tried a Variax bass through a Bass Pod. It was alright. I think I prefer working with one or the other. I only had a limited time to mess around with it because we were recording. I didn't use the Variax for the final tracks though, but then I didn't know how to use it and what all the lovely knobs did. Perhaps if I got a few more hours, and had the manual this time, I would give it another chance.

It would be possible to hook up a Variax through a Bass Pod and then through the Lowdown. Though I think the Bass Pod and Lowdown together would have a lot of redundancy, so it would be one or the other.

I wanna try the Lowdown! But the few bass specialist shops I've dropped by don't seem to stock a lot of Line 6 for some reason.

i'm quite interested in theb uilt in bass synth also.

it also has a grind switch so you can put distortion in, which would be very helpful sometimes.

Especially as it is modelled after a SansAmp .... I wish they modelled it on the Line 6 XT Live Bass Pod.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE EFFECTS

what matters is that bass tone you wanna hear your bass your playibility, not some effects making you sound 100x better.
