down down down up-down down-up-down*

*change chords immediately after the last "down-up-down"
Repeat.

That's kinda the gist of how i've played it. It's not really the best way to write out a strumming pattern, but u should be able to get the timing right if u listen to the song.

Peace.

I would recommend listening to the song and going from there. Get the chord changes down and play along with the song until you get it.

^He asked for help, not for some dildo to come and judge what he likes...I don't like James Blunt at all but if he does, whatever.

Allright whatever, I'm just saying I hate it when people are so convinced that they're music is the only good music. I've heard two James Blunt songs and hated every second of both, but I don't trash people who like that stuff.

Well said Rage, unfortunately it appears to be an endemic problem with these forums.

I blame the parents

As for the original question, I learnt this song because Mrs free asked me to. uradirtyape must be right, maybe chicks do dig this type of stuff.

Anyways, for the strumming pattern..... I use down down up up-down down-up-down

The only problem I have is that because of the chords used I nearly always fall into 'Wonderwall' while I'm playing it.

It isn't too hard to play along with and figure. Chorus aside it's the same strumming pattern throughout.
