For example, you have a Wah, a distortion and a delay pedal, does it matter what order they go in? Does it affect the tone you produce? just curious, i htought i heard something about it a while back..

For me yes... I tried making my wah pedal at the last and it didn't sound like a wah pedal...
then I switched the place of my Distortion and wah pedal... and it sounded like a "Real" wah pedal...

As a rule of thumb, modulation first, then gain/od/dist, then Delay/reverb

End of the day, keep messin till you get a sound you like but thats a good guide.

well any envelope sensing effects like wah/compression should be first followed by dist/od the any modulation effects like chorus/flange/phaser then reverb/delay then amp.
